Sales Associate:
This isn't your typical retail job, as a Sales Associate at Singletrack Cycles, you'll be at the forefront of helping people enjoy the thrill of bike riding. You'll have the opportunity to gain knowledge about cutting-edge products in the cycling industry, provide thoughtful recommendations to customers, and establish meaningful connections with riders in your local community.
The atmosphere is fast-paced, and customers are inquisitive, so having a team mentality that prioritizes customer satisfaction is crucial. We prioritize hospitality skills over technical knowledge and prefer to hire individuals who are eager to learn rather than those who believe they already know everything. If you're already an expert in biking, that's great, but if not, we'll provide you with training. The key is that you know how to provide excellent customer service, assess their needs, and surpass their expectations.
Primary job duties include but are not limited to:
• Complete required training program which involves in-store training as well as paid, internet-based training
• Familiarity with all bike brands and models that we stock
• Interact with customers and provide exemplary customer service on the phone, email or in person; educate customers about bicycles, bicycle accessories and clothing, and any other cycling-related products in the store
• Proactively manages customer relationships using Quote system and other communication tools to stay connected
• Perform bike sizing for bikes of all makes and models
• Direct customers through entire sales process
• Assist in the daily operations of the store, including restocking, cleaning, organizing and merchandising
• Respond to customer concerns
• Strong leadership/coaching skills
• Learn, understand and adhere to company policy, programs and standards
• Perform other tasks assigned by store manager
The Sales Associate position is part time; you will work up to 20 hours per week depending on the season, and you should have the ability to work evenings and weekends.
The ideal candidate:
• Be passionate about cycling
• Be highly self-motivated and have a great attitude
• Passion for developing relationships with customers and providing an exceptional retail experience
• Has at least 2 years of sales experience working in retail, preferably with bikes
• Be comfortable with accountability of sales goals, performance metrics and net promotor score
• Is capable of safely lifting and carrying 50lbs on a regular basis
• Is intrinsically motivated, able to work both independently and as a member of a team, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Wage:
•$15.74 - 18.00/hour with additional bonus opportunities
