Sales Associate for Spring \ Summer Season

Job Summary

Singletrack Cycles in North Bend, WA is looking for a part time sales associate for the upcoming season.

Overview:

Sales Associates are responsible for providing exceptional customer service, product knowledge and a passion to help get more people on bikes. Prior bike shop experience is not required, but a hunger for learning and customer service is paramount.

Position Details:

The primary responsibilities and areas of impact of this position include, but are not limited to:

Store Performance

  • Clearly explain and demonstrate products to customers
  • Utilize sales training to achieve a high level of personal sales
  • Apply customer service skills to exceed customer’s expectations
  • Process sales, returns, layaways, and void transactions
  • Provide feedback to the store owner on ideas to increase sales
  • Promote Singletrack Cycles mission, values, and standards


Store Operations

  • Responsible for following all store policies and procedures
  • Ensure the store is properly merchandised and presents a clean and welcoming appearance


Development

  • Continually attend training sessions to enhance product knowledge


Experience

  • Previous retail sales or customer service experience (ideally in a bike shop, but not required)


Skills

  • Ability to communicate and interact with a diverse population
  • Excellent sales skills and a strong customer service focus
  • Ability to multitask and work with many customers at one time
  • Knowledge of computers and technology
  • Dedication to get the job done


Working Conditions

  • Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques

Service Technician

Part-time

Singletrack Cycles is hiring for the season! We are looking to add a Service Technician to our team. We have a great team of professionals who love Bikes and have fun at work.

Service Technicians are responsible for providing mechanical repairs and maintenance to bicycles at Singletrack Cycles. 

Position Details
The primary responsibilities and areas of impact of this position include, but are not limited to:

Store Performance
• Complete repairs and maintenance of bicycles and install accessories in a timely manner.
• Ensure understanding of customers' needs and clearly explain any concerns.
• Apply customer service skills to exceed customer’s expectations.
• Process parts sales and check in/out bikes following proper procedures.
• Process sales, returns, layaway, and void transactions
• Promote Singletrack Cycles mission, values, and standards.

Store Operations 
• Responsible for following all store policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean work area and assist in keeping the store presentable.
• Assists with bike sales and any other bike floor duties as needed

Development
• Continually attend training sessions to enhance mechanical skills and familiarity of products.

Position Requirements

Experience
• Minimum of 2 years of professional bike shop experience as a Service Technician. 

Skills
• Ability to communicate and interact with a diverse population.
• Mechanically inclined and solid problem-solving skills.
• Present a strong customer service focus.
• Ability to multitask and work with many customers at one time.
• Knowledge of computers and technology.
• Dedication to get the job done.

Working Conditions
• Ability to stand, sit and use hands for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
