Guidelines for renting an E-Bike at Singletrack Cycles

E-Bikes sometimes called E-Mountain Bikes (E-MTBs) are a new and growing segment of cycling in Washington. There are rules and laws on where you are allowed to ride. By default in Washington, all singletrack trails are closed to E-MTBs, unless there is signage designating a non-motorized trail as open to E-MTB.

Trails: The areas we allow our E-bikes to be ridden on include: Olallie, Summit Ridge, 360 Trails, Suntop, Devils Gultch \ Mission Ridge, Snoqualmie Valley Trail, and the Palouse to Cascades Trail.

Olallie access is a recent rule change by the Wasington State Parks that now allow Class 1 and Class 3.

Always confirm first that the trail you plan on riding does allow E-Bikes.

Transportation: We allow our E-bikes to be transported on receiver hitch racks that Singletrack Cycles approves of. We do not allow the use of any trunk or roof rack.

Range: The approximate range for a fully charged battery with a 180-pound (80kg) rider is: 20 miles in Boost, 30 miles in Trail, and 40 miles in Eco modes. These are approximations- terrain and temperature extremes will effect battery life and range.
